Below are questions that have been asked by users of the site or the database.....

Q:  Is there a time limit on your subscription or is it based on how many searches one does?

A:  You have 12 months in which to use up your subscription but you purchase per search.  You can purchase 3, 10, 20 or 50 searches.  We have incentives at the end of 12 months for you to roll over any left over searches so you are unlikely to ever lose any.

Q:  What constitutes a "search" i.e. is it by subject?

A:  A search consists of entering a search criteria of five factors (project area, item you want to fund, geographical location of the project, amount of funding you want (optional)and organisation type) and this gives you a result. To see an example of the whole process you can go to http://www.fundbase.com.au/Example.aspx .

Q:  Can you log off and then return to a search without the second logon being considered another "search"

A:  When you purchase a number of searches these are credited to your account and you can use them whenever you want.  You can come and go to the website whenever you like and when you actually do a search by entering your search criteria and you get your results this one search is taken off your tally.

Q:  Exactly what is meant by "3 searches"?

A:  What happens is you enter your search criteria – what you project area is, what you need funding for, where you are geographically and your type of organisation.  These criteria then search the database and give you the resultant best grants that match.  So three searches gives you three opportunities to search for different projects or search for your project in different ways that may give you different results.  Each result you can look at in greater detail to be sure it suits your project.
