Step Three - Buy Searches

Buying Searches Pre-requisites

Before buying searches you must ensure your details are complete and up-to-date.  Update your details here.

Referral System

FundBase allows subscribers to earn Search Credits through the referral of their friends to the site.

To earn Search Credits you need to tell your friends to Register with FundBase. When they Register they must tell us that their friend referred them. They must then enter the same email address that you used to Register with FundBase and this will generate a Search Credit for you. When you purchase more Searches from FundBase you may notice you have Search Credits that can be used towards the cost of your Searches.

Once you have bought searches you can view your referral tally. If you have enough Search Credits you can choose to trade a portion of them towards the cost of buying searches. Search Credits are valid for one year from the last purchase date. If a new search purchase is made, all existing searches roll-over and are valid for one year from that date.

Unlike other searchable databases, FundBase allows you to share your search credits with anybody. Buy searches now.

Pricing

With FundBase you only pay for the Searches you need, it is not a time limited membership* basis but a fee per search. To make it easier and more cost effective for you we have a range of packages of searches that you can choose from. For instance, if you are doing a lot of projects you may want a package of 20 searches, but if you just want to try us out, you may just want to buy one search.

When you buy one search, we will give you a 100% money back guarantee should you return a zero result in your search.

You can even give your unused searches to your friends if you think you need help using them up so there is absolutely no risk or loss for you.

The Usable Search Credits in the Table below indicates how many of your Search Credits (generated by your friends Registering with FundBase, giving your email address as their referral) can be used towards the cost of your Searches. For instance, if you have three Search Credits owing to you, you may use them when you purchase a Worker Subscription. This means you will receive 13 Searches for the price of 10. This is a saving of $45!

Likewise if you have encouraged 8 of your friends to Register with FundBase, you can use 6 of your Search Credits now (saving the other two for later) and purchase an Expert Subscription, giving you 26 searches for the price of 20. This is a saving of $75!

Step Four - Start Searching

Once you have bought searches you can start searching.

To see an example project and funding search result, click here.

Throughout the searching process you can get more detailed help from the ? beside each field. The search criteria you will need to enter to get your results are:

  1. My project is all about - There are a number of broad categories which each grant has been put into to assist in narrowing the search for you. Bear in mind that one grant may be relevant to a number of categories so you may get results that are still relevant for your project but may not be totally ideal.
  2. I need to fund - these are the items that a fund considers to be eligible for their grant.
  3. I need this much money - this is an optional search field. If you are trying to keep your results broad, do not enter anything in this field. Often funds do not specify a range or sometimes they select a minimum amount or a maximum amount only. The search facility will match the best information it has, to your request.
  4. I have my own money to contribute - this is an optional search field. As above if you prefer a broad result, do not enter anything in this field. If you particularly want a grant that does not requiring matching funds then select No. Many funds do not specify if they require matching funds or not, these will be provided in both search results.
  5. My organisation type is - this information will automatically be taken from your Subscription details but you can change this if applicable.
  6. My project location is - state, shire - this information will also be taken automatically from your Subscription Details but you may be located in a different place to that of your project. You need to identify where your Project is located. If your project covers a region please nominate the main shire it covers. If you do not know what shire your project is located in you can visit the following site www.alga.asn.au (Australian Local Government Association) or try searching the town name plus local government in a search engine.  If your project is to be undertaken overseas, you are to enter your own location and use the Main Category of International Aid.

If you would like help with searching or to provide feedback please don't hesitate to email us at admin(at)fundbase.com.au.  (When using this email address replace the (at) with @)

The funding opportunities that most accurately coincide with your search criteria will be listed. This list will be automatically saved for you or you can choose to print it.  Each funding opportunity on your list can then be clicked on for more detail. This detail includes:

  • Program Name
  • Overview of the Program
  • Main Categories describing the Program
